Surgical Techniques and Experience of TRAM Breast Reconstruction
TRAM flaps are the most commeonly performed types of flap reconstruction,
partly because TRAM flaps tissue is very similar to breast tissue and makes
a good substitute.
The blood suply in a pedicled TRAM flap is safe only up to 1% of the flaps are dying
In a delayed TRAM flap the inferior epigastric artry will be cut 3-7 days before the
operation to strengthen the superior epigastric artry
In Germany I was one of the first doctores to do this operation
